InterNetNews Usenet Server History

InterNetNews (INN) is the newest release of Usenet server software.

A more modern Usenet system than NNTP, InterNetNews was written by Rich Salz and released in 1992, and later improved and maintained by David Barr.

INN is now maintained by the Internet Software Consortium (ISC). Many sites use INN because it is fast, and includes support for both NNTP and UUCP.
