The procedure for unsubscribing from different mailing lists is often not obvious, so it is a great help to be able to find this information quickly when you need it.

The exact method of unsubscribing from each mailing list differs depending on whether it is managed by Listserv, Majordomo, or Listproc software, and is described in additional detail in those sections. A summary is given below:

• Listserv. Send the following command to the mailing list administration address:

signoff <listname>

• Majordomo. Send the following command to the mailing list administration address:

unsubscribe <listname>

• Listproc. Send either of the following commands to the mailing list administration address:

signoff <listname>
unsubscribe <listname>
