Redirect Email

Some email programs such as Eudora provide a redirect capability to redirect email to another address. You might want to redirect an email because the message was sent to you by mistake, or because you want to send the email to someone else without the formatting that gets added to an email when it is forwarded.

A redirect is similar in function to a forward, with two main differences:

  • The original email cannot be edited or changed in any way.
  • The "From" field will remain set to the original sender of the email but with your address apended as text, such as in the following:

From: him@twenty.net (by way of you@livinginternet.com)
