Listserv Use - Digests

Normally you will receive each email sent to the list shortly after the server gets it. On high volume lists, people sometimes choose to set their subscription to digest mode so they receive only one email a day consolidating all the emails sent to the list in that time period:

set <listname> digest

To switch from digest mode back to regular mode, issue the following command:

set <listname> nodigest

If you are in digest mode and would like a copy of the current digest in the middle of the day before the final version is sent, you can switch to nodigest and then back immediately to digest in the same email, which will send you a copy of the digest at that particular point in time:

set <listname> nodigest

set <listname> digest
