Advanced Mailing Lists - Archives
Most
mailing lists are archived, and many have convenient web accessible
interfaces.
Most mailing lists keep permanent archives of all
messages they receive for the convenience of members, sometimes
also accessible to non-members. The method of accessing these archives
is often included in
the introductory
message for the list. Many mailing list archives also include a search
function, and many include web interfaces.
If a list has a web archive, the address and related
information is usually given in the list's introductory
message. Listserv lists also usually list the address of any web
archive in the list summary in the CataList catalog.
Information on how to obtain access and search archives
for each type of mailing list system are described in the Listserv, Listproc,
and Majordomo sections.
