Jessica Chain Email
Hoax
A particularly mean hoax, based on a phantom technology, this email says
that a seven year old girl named Jessica has terminal cancer, and that her
dying wish is to spread an email that urges people to live life to
the fullest.
It also says that the American Cancer Society and corporate sponsors
have agreed to give three cents to cancer research for every person that
the email
is sent to, and urges you to send it to as many friends as possible.
There is no Jessica. Even if there was, there would be no way for the American
Cancer society to know when an email is sent to people, and so there would be
no way for them to donate a proportionate amount of money.
Live life to the fullest. But don't spread this email around. More information
can be found here.
